I Paint The Woman I Want To Become
I attended my first burlesque dance class in 2022. That day changed me.
My instructor shared that in Burlesque you are suppose to embody a fantasy character, one you strive to be —confident, sexy, funny, classy, loud, strong.
She told us that when she felt insecure she remembered to embody her character.
Proudly, she told us that as time passed she became her.
This piece is a dedication to that moment. I decided I wanted to paint the woman I want to become.
Size: 48” x 24”
Material: Acrylic
Note: Copper highlights shine under natural light.

About Series:
“Rebellion of Enjoyment,” a mixed media art series, combines photography and handwritten text and drawing to explore unapologetic joy. Each image captures women in moments of playful self-expression—while layered words and drawings scrawl across the photographs like intimate confessions or rebellious declarations. The series celebrates pleasure as resistance, framing joy not as indulgence but as a radical, necessary act. Through this fusion of visual and written storytelling, Rebellion of Enjoyment honors the power of choosing fun in a world that often demands the opposite.
